Explore the magnificent boréalie nature!

The Zoo sauvage of St-Félicien invites you to come live an unforgettable experience among the the Boréalie species. Come witness the proximity of almost 1000 live animals in natural wide open spaces. You are located in a zoo with an extremely different concept from what you would expect. Get on board our caged train to discover all the splendor of the Nature Park Trails. Continue the adventure by walking along our pedestrian section accessible to the entire family. Meet our nature guides on site and follow the zoo keepers for the animal feeding.
The Welcome Center will surprise you with the presentation of its two very interactive films. For nature enthusiasts, the “Walking Adventure in the Land of the Caribou” package, offers a one and half day guided expedition by reservation only. For the children, the Zoo sauvage offers the “Boreal summer camp” and the kids section in the Mini farm. New for the summer 2010, the Mogolian Exhibits.
The Boréalium
The Boréalium is the Zoo sauvage Welcome Center. It is where your initiation to the Boréalie begins. In fact, the Zoo sauvage offers you a Multisensory movie which will wake up all your senses. You will be able to see, feel and smell the Boréalie. After the show, you will finally be ready to discover all of the facets of our marvellous site. The Boréalium also offers several services like the “La Sapinière” restaurant and the “La Pinède” gift shop. To complete your excursion, we suggest a second film about nature. Comfortably seated, you will be dazzled
by spectacular images on the big screen. When leaving the room you will also be able to discover
a nature exhibit.

The pedestrian section
The pedestrian section of the Zoo sauvage is divided into six (6) sectors: the Arctic, Asia, the mixed Forest, the Mountains, the Mini farm and the Mongolia. Often in cohabitation with other species and in habitats which resemble their natural environment as much as possible. Get to know our animals while walking in the various sections or while following the zookeepers during the feeding of the animals. For your kids’ amusement, visit the Mini farm section which is filled full of fun activities and water games.
The Nature Park Trails

Discover the activity which made the Zoo sauvage of St-Félicien famous: a ride on the train in the Nature Park Trails. This concept allows humans to interact with North American species. During this activity, visitors large open landscapes, whether recreated or natural, it brings the habitat together. You will discover a unique place where the animals almost live in total freedom , nourish themselves, hide and confront each other. During your visit, you will also have the chance to see historic sites which will remind you about the origin of our culture and different time periods in our history.
The ride is one hour long. Ask our employees at the reception or listen to the messages on the speakers on-site to know the departure schedule for the trails. It is an experience not to be missed!

The Walking Adventure in the Land of the Caribou
This unique activity allows you to go from a simple spectator to an actor. The Walking Adventure in the Land of the Caribou is a guided expedition which includes an excursion in the forest, canoeing at sunset, one night in a prospector tent, a vintage meal and a supper cooked on the campfire. The Boreal summer camp
The Zoo sauvage summer camp makes it possible for kids from 8 to 12 years old to discover the boreal biodiversity.
