Diet : Herbivorous, feeding on grasses, leaves, flowers and young shoots and if needed, conifer needles, buds and small branches.
Reproduction : From 2 years of age, mating takes place between October and January. After a gestation period of approximately 6 months, the female gives birth generally to only 1 baby between April and June, which will be weaned around 7 months old.
Lifespan : Up to 15 years in the wild.
Predators : Mainly Snow Panthers, but also wolves, Brown Bears, lynx and Golden Eagles.
Status : Not at risk.
