Diet : Herbivorous, feeding on herbaceous plants, leaves and twigs.
Reproduction : The female is sexually mature at 2 years old and the male at 3 years old. Mating takes place between August and October. A single fawn is born between late May and early June after an 8 ½ month gestation period and is weaned after 4 months.
Lifespan : Up to 15 years in the wild.
Predators : Grey Wolves, Grizzly Bears and Pumas. Fawns can also be the prey of Black Bears.
Status : Not at risk.
