Diet : Herbivorous , feeding on grasses and forbs ; seeks out salt licks.
Reproduction : Sexually mature at 2 years. Mating occurs between late October and December. A single lamb is born between early May and early June after a gestation period of 6 months, and is weaned after 5-6 months.
Lifespan : Up to 14 years in the wild and over 15 years in captivity.
Predators : Pumas and gray wolves; young may also be taken by coyotes, grizzly bears, wolverines, Canadian lynx and golden eagles.
Status : Population stable, not at risk.
