Diet : Carnivorous, feeding especially on ongulates like deer and wild boars, but also on other small and large species of mammals.
Reproduction : Sexually mature around 4 years of age, mating can occur throughout the year, but especially in the autumn. After about 3 ½, month gestation period the female gives birth to 2 to 4 cubs which will be weaned around 5 months old.
Lifespan : Up to 15 years in the wild.
Predators : Man is mainly responsible for the decline of the population. In spite of protecting the species, poaching persists.
Status : Endangered; there are approximately 500 Amur Tigers left in the wild.
